ABSTRACT
Nowadays, student will vote for the Student Representative Council (SRC) during election to express their voice as university student. But right now it is very difficult to determine the right candidate to be a Student Representative Council (SRC) The problem to choose the right candidate for the election are timing consuming Hence Choosing Candidate System (CCS) will ease the difficulties that faced by the student whom are candidate that do not know the right criteria to be Student Representative Council (SRC). Choosing Candidate System (CCS) for Student Representative Council (SRC) is the web based system that allows student which are candidate to answer the requirement that need to be Student Representative Council (SRC) based on Decision Tree Algorithm. Thus, it is easier for the voter to vote since the university has been filter the right candidate to be Student Representative Council (SRC). Choosing Candidate System (CCS) for Student Representative Council will be a really big help in solving the problem that student has when they want to vote for candidate. |
INTRODUCTION
An election is formed by group decision making process which are population chooses an individual to hold the public position. An election is very important to any organization as it will choose a leader to lead the population. Elections have been the usual mechanisms by which modern representative democracy has operated since the 17th century [1]. Student is someone that learn at the school or in the university. Student Representative Council (SRC) is a university student is elected annually by students in the university. The Student Representative Council (SRC) is someone that want to help the other student by presenting ideas which are benefits to all the student in the university. SRC works fairly to represent the student voice in university life. Students that are meet the criteria needed may be elected in the election of SRC.

OBJECTIVES
- To design a Decision Support System (DSS) that help management to choose the best candidate to be Student Representative (SRC).
- To implement the decision tree algorithm to find the most candidate chosen that followed the criteria.
- To test the functionality of proposed system in the UniSZA environment.
ALGORITHM
Step 1 - Place the best attribute of the dataset at the root of the tree.
Step 2 - Split the training set into subset. Subsets should be made in such a way that each subset contains data with the same value for an attribute.
Step 3 - Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 on each subset until you find leaf nodes in all the branches of the tree.
RESULTS
CONCLUSIONS
- In conclusion, this project to design and develop choosing candidate system for Student Representative Council (SRC) in University Sultan Zainal Abidin (uniSZA).
- The method proposed is decision tree algorithm.
- The proposed system will to be test and evaluate the real case for choosing candidate system.
